You’ve heard me talk about how much I like Arrested Development before, but now I can actually show you it. This is the first episode and I’ll just have to say that you need to watch a few episodes before you get in to it. So here it is:
I was sent a link to this picture and thought it was interesting.

I found this mildly amusing. I had just invited another person to use Pownce…hint…hint, when I clicked on the “home” link. That is when I received this error screen. I think those Star Wars fans out there will enjoy it.
Some of my wife’s family was over for the fourth of July for a family reunion this past week. One of the brother-in-laws busted out some Legos, so some of us sat down and started to play with them. I started to tell stories of building Lego sets as a young child and some of the creations I had made. I then mentioned how when I was younger, my brothers and I decided that it would be really cool if Lego made a chess set from Lego guys. We even typed up a letter to the Lego corporation outlining how we thought the Lego chess set should be. It was quite detailed right down to the individual Lego guys we would have used for the various pieces. After I said this one of my nephews informed me that Lego had started making a Lego chess set. I was shocked. Okay, we set this idea to them over ten years ago, but I’m here to tell you that the idea for the Lego chess set was ours! The funny thing about this is that when we originally sent the Lego chess set idea to the Lego company, they responded with a letter saying, in a roundabout way, that they would not be able to create the chess set due to the fact that it would require them to pay royalties to us. We of course at the time would have been entirely happy if they would have just built the set, but no. They waited ten years for us to forget and went on to create this set. Do they owe us restitution? Absolutely.
Here’s a plug for my favorite T.V. show “Arrested Development.” I like so many other people did not watch this series while it was actually on T.V. This may have been due to the fact that I don’t watch a whole lot of T.V. on Sunday, which was when the show aired, or if they just didn’t do proper marketing, but I’m here to say that I have seen in now and it’s the best. If you are interested in watching it, you can see the first season and most of the second season on MSN video. They have been adding a few episodes every couple weeks. Oh, and when you watch it, don’t skip around episodes. Watch it from the beginning. I had to see about 4 episodes before I really got in to it.
“Come on!”
