Does that make me a nerd?

So Ben and I are going to have one of our sometimes regular Saturday website sessions this week. I think of all the ways I could spend my Saturday, be it playing sports, or doing yard work, or possibly constructing something manly. I however choose to spend the day working out how our upcoming webcreation(I copyright that word) with Ben. Now if, as I have dreamed several times, a girl is actually reading these words, I want to know, does that make me less attractive? The answer may well be, “don’t worry, you can’t get any less attractive,” but I really feel like at this critical time in my life I need to start worrying about things like that. On another topic, I sold my Wii and the buyer seems legitimate. I can’t wait to get the money so I can ship it, because I hate having the shipping of an ebay purchase hanging over my head. Although, I love the thrill of the auction.

Andy, your dreams have come true. I actually was checking to see if anything syphillis related made it onto the blog. But since I might be the only female who has read it, I feel it is my moral duty to answer your question. It is possible that some “meat-head hungry” girls might be turned off at your lack of sports activities on a Saturday. Avid gardeners might find your non yard work-ness quite unattractive. (Are you so impressed with how I make up words?). And what exactly is something “manly” that you could construct? A shed or something? A grill?
I think there is a delicate balance where a computer is involved. It can actually be attractive if a guy knows his way around a computer (usually intelligence is a turn on in the first place, at least in my book) but when the computer becomes: 1. your best friend, 2. your first priority, and 3. your main consumer of time and energy, that’s when it becomes a major turn-off. One of my pals married a guy who actually seemed like he was married to his computer, based on the amount of time he spent on it outside of work.
So there you have it, the opinion of a single gal.
